WHY PICK ON THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES?

AMERICA NO LONGER HAS A CONGRESS THAT ACTS
IN BEHALF OF THE AVERAGE AMERICAN.
Congress has become a profit-making policy machine for the rich and powerful.
Average Americans need to stand up and be counted
by questioning their elected representatives.

Background. — As you all well know or suspect - too many of our 435 Congressperson and 100 Senators who control America’s policies are no longer 'public servants' in the literal sense. Too many politicians and Washington bureaucrats, for the most part are virtually dominated by well organized 'public-be-damned' special interest groups. Particularly, by BIG OIL.
These Congresspersons, Senators and bureaucrats no longer see themselves as 'public servants' but instead — as 'influential and powerful' executives. More power gives them license to spend more dollar on their friends and Washington bureaucracy. The more a politician can spend the more attention he can get from 'special interest' friends.
The shame of it all is that most politicians didn't start off their careers looking for power. They started with high ideals, and a wish to represent their constituents and at the same time concerned with the overall economic health of the nation. They were elected or appointed not for their winning smile, if you think about it, cutting down on foreign oil is within the reach and power of all citizens working together.
Solution: — The American public has the ultimate power if they use it, with their collective votes, their angry e-mails and other visible signs of action as their rightful weapons to put pressure on politicians responsible for our energy policy.
There isn't a politician in all of Washington that doesn’t recognize that if enough people in their district or state speaks out against him or her - their political careers can come to a screeching halt. To that end, Patriotically Correct League was formed to produce information the public can use to speak out, be heard, put politicians on notice and communicate with the media.
After all, the same public that elected the Congresspersons and Senators responsible for the laws -- is the same public that has the power to either influence elected officials or get rid of them. Beyond the awesome power of the vote, in order to affect change, there's billboards, bumper stickers, and action e-mail formats.
If enough people use the material made available by patriotically correct, collectively they will become a very loud and powerful voice that can demand energy responsibility. And, at the same time, support and compliment those politicians that are doing battle with the political and bureaucratic buddies of foreign oil interests.
Republican or Democrat, conservative or liberal, young and old, we are all victimized by terrorists, and government disregard for made-in-USA energy. There are a lot of ways to be part of a group to create your own power base. Use the e-mail Inquiry to find out whether you can trust your Congressperson or not.
Buy an "INQUIRY"for only $20. and get accountability you can use from politicians and help fund our efforts as well.
IT'S BEEN DONE BEFORE.
Women's right to vote, minimum wage laws, workers comp, child labor laws, higher education assistance, occupational safety, civil rights laws are just a few of the accomplishments that prove what private citizen protest can do.
We will do it with incendiary art, reasonably hard nosed, quality graphics and language based on the existing situations. No hype or artificial language. Just stark facts.
That's what Patrioticallycorrect.org has been all about.

WHY PICK ON CONGRESS?
According to the Constitution, The House of Representatives has as much power as the President and Senators. If not more. Considering the potential power of the House of representatives, it’s the logical place to start. You can dump a bad Congressperson in 2 years, it takes 4 years to change a President and 6 years to move out a 'sell out' Senator.
The House of Representatives is where the real action is. Where tougher laws can be created to protect the people and the economy which is the way tax dollars should be spent. To ignore the House of Representatives is to ignore your own interests.
THE EASY PART.
All it takes for you to pitch in is $20. That will buy a Inquiry that will be a great talking point. Turnabout is fair play.
Without your $20. times all of you out there, we're bound to lose valuable ground to the buying and selling of members of the House of Representatives.
It's as simple as that. Your individual response is vital.
Get your inquiry and help "and find out the truth" for $20.

Wealth in Congress climbed as others saw net worth stay stagnant, reports show

P.S. An analysis from the Washington Post shows that from 1984 to 2009, the median net worth of a member of the House more than doubled from $280,000 to $725,000 in inflation-adjusted 2009 dollars, excluding home equity. The average American family saw its wealth slightly decline in that same time frame.
Earlier this year, as part of CBSNews.com's United States of Influence series, Hotsheet explored the reasons why members of Congress are unusually wealthy: To start with, political campaigns that have become increasingly costly to run.          Once in office, members of Congress enjoy access to connections and information they can use to increase their wealth, in ways that are unparalleled in the private sector. And once politicians leave office, their connections allow them to profit even further.
The level of wealth in Congress stands in stark contrast to the economic challenges that many Americans continue to face.
The Times asked the offices of all 534 members of Congress if they had close friends or family members who had lost jobs or homes since the 2008 downturn. Just 18 members responded, 12 of whom said someone close to them had been laid off or had to shut down a business. Half said they had a close friend or relative who lost their homeIn an October 2011 CBS News poll, 34 percent of Americans said the economic downturn has caused major life changes for them and their family, while 46 percent said the downturn has been difficult but did not cause any major life changes.
